The shooters gathered after setting up the stages. We split into groups and started shooting. The supplies for each group were kept in these handy trays, a very good idea it really let things move right along. This was about the smoothest shooting match I've attended in years

One of the most fun stages at this tactical rifle match for our group was this one that started inside a van. The shooter started sitting in the van hands on the wheel, then grab the rifle and engage targets as they are seen as you move to cover outside the van

This target rich stage forced shooters to use three areas of cover and started out in the open

Shooters are free in an event like this one to use cover as they wish. It is also an opportunity to practice shooting skills

Using cover to engage targets while the range safety officer watches and runs the timer

In this match any hit is a score. Unlike some other shooting events, this Tactical Rifle Match simply requires a hole in the target, placement is not a factor.

Shooting from the side of cover and over the top

Bending around cover to expose as little as possible while being aware of the offset of the AR15

One of the larger stages that used two bays and lots of cover, through doors and watch out for those targets on the ground !!

This stage started outside a building, then took us through the doors and to some difficult cover work

This one had an interesting training aid. A simulated cover with various holes and edges which allow the shooter to practice difficult shots safely. Remember your offset !!

The match was run in groups. Each group had a designated range safety officer who ran the timer, kept score and of course maintained a safe range at each shooting stage

The last Stage started sitting on a chair then you needed to get up and out while engaging targets. A fun stage, so fun I hardly took any pictures of it..woops

As always the little car / truck thing is handy for moving targets around the various shooting bays
